THE Bordon Soapbox
Following the incredible momentum of 2023, the 2025 Bordon Soap Box Derby delivered another unforgettable showcase of speed, spirit, and community – drawing over 12,000 visitors to the town and racking up more than 10,000 livestream views and 350,000+ engagements across social media. It’s a testament to the passion of our small committee, the micro teams, volunteers, and supporters who’ve helped grow this event into a true highlight of the local calendar.
As we look ahead to 2027, we're already planning to bring even more – from improved screens and technology to additional kart runs and fresh experiences for all ages. Donations remain open until 1st September as we push toward our £10,000 goal to continue supporting local community initiatives.
What's was good in 2025?
2025 was a standout year for the Bordon Soapbox Derby, not just in numbers, but in spirit. We introduced new racers (double that of 2023) that brought fresh energy to the track.. Family-friendly zones were buzzing with interactive activities, while local businesses and DrivenLife joined forces to deliver a festival atmosphere with real community impact. Our expanded livestream coverage and improved track layout made the day smoother, louder, and more exciting for everyone involved.
From the kart paddock to the finish line, BSB25 raised the bar, and the expectations – for what’s to come in 2027.

A Small Town. A Big Day. One Hell of a Community.
A day built by the community, for the community, and it showed in every corner of the course, every smile, every soaked sock.
It was more than karts and haybales. It was old friends reconnecting, families sharing the day, neighbours meeting for the first time. It was pure, unfiltered community spirit.
The real heroes? The volunteers, marshals, organisers, drivers, and race teams who gave up hours, days, weeks and months to make today happen.
No ego. Just effort.
The karts were wild and every year it’s getting bigger and better.
Two brilliant comperes held it all together, feeding the energy like pros @stuartpmorrison and Glen Lynch.
The livestream? It only worked! We’ve had messages from people watching all over the UK and even as far as Australia. Madness.
And then there’s you. The crowd. The die-hards. The parents, kids, locals and passers-by who sat, stood, cheered and got absolutely drenched, but never stopped smiling.
Yyou showed up for your town.

Returning from our previous event is our two unforgettable Soapbox comperes: Stu Morrison and Glen Lynch.
Stu Morrison: The Man, the Moustache, the Mic
Once seen, never forgotten, Stu Morrison is a force of personality wrapped in a loud suit and topped with a legendary moustache. Part town crier, part entertainer, and 100% community spirit, Stu is a cornerstone of the Soapbox experience.
From co-presenting Football Focus dressed as Borat, to appearances on Trisha (as Ali G) and Richard & Judy (as “Littler Britain”), Stu’s comedic presence and infectious energy light up the track. Whether interviewing racers, riffing with the crowd, or announcing epic soapbox moments, Stu makes the event feel as good as it looks.
He’s also a business owner, web entrepreneur, designer, and writer, proving that behind the charisma is a serious dedication to community and creativity.
Glen Lynch: The Voice That Moves the Masses
Joining Stu is Glen Lynch, a masterful vocalist, songwriter, and storyteller. Glen’s voice has been compared to rock legends like Roger Daltrey and Steve Marriott, his lyrics painting vivid scenes of everyday life, working-class struggle, and joy.
This marks Glen’s third Soapbox appearance—solidifying him as a fan favourite and an essential part of the BSB family. When he’s not captivating the crowd with witty commentary and on-stage charisma, Glen performs with The Sunset Donkeys, an English-American rock band featuring Chris Constantinou, Preston Heyman, Hal Lindes, and Glen himself. Their debut single ‘Setting It All On Fire’ is now out—and fittingly, so is the track at BSB25!
